Yes and no. Like any investment, you need to take proper care of your new hair. They are just as easy to maintain as your own hair! Don't worry, you will receive a cheat-sheet of how to take care of them after your first appointment. You will need to come in for regular move-ups every 6-8 weeks, and the hair can last up to a year with proper care.
Are Extensions Damaging?
No! When done correctly, these extensions are very gentle on the hair. Many people can actually start to grow their hair out longer by wearing extensions (I was able to grow my hair over 10 inches in 2 years by wearing extensions). Extensions are also a great way to finally get the blonde hair you have always wanted, without the damage or breakage on your natural hair.
How Much Do Extensions Cost?
Your initial appointment can range anywhere from $540- $1500+, depending on the amount of hair needed and the method that is best for you. The average person will spend $1200 at their initial appointment. This appointment includes the cost of hair, installation, custom color and cut for a flawless blend and a goodie bag with all of the essentials. With proper care, the hair itself can last up to one year. Move-up appointments are between $150-$175 per row every 6-8 weeks on average.
How Long Is The Appointment?
This is a relatively quick appointment, especially considering how transformative it can be! Each row takes around 45-60 minutes to install. Many guests will schedule their color and move-up appointments in the same day, and are in and out in less than 4 hours.
